Claire Eggers is an award-winning documentary photographer based between Athens, Greece and Austin, Texas. She is part of Women Photograph and the Journal Collective. Focusing on long form projects, Claire’s practice is rooted in examining the lived stories of individuals and how we construct our own narratives from collective memory and personal traumas using a range of visual and written tools to convey themes of instability and entanglement.

Claire completed her Master’s degree in Documentary Photography from the London College of Communication, graduating with distinctions in 2021. Her work has been exhibited throughout Europe and North America. She has contributed work to clients and publications such as Associated Press, NPR, Financial Times, Washington Post, Reuters and Vice amongst others and is available for commissions worldwide.
